Transformers & Rectifiers Ltd. is pleased to announce our involvement in a key infrastructure project in Dublin, Ireland, through the supply of a series of earthing transformers designed to enhance fault protection and network stability.
Earthing transformers play a vital role in electrical distribution networks — especially in systems that operate without a directly grounded neutral. In such cases, earthing transformers provide a defined neutral point, enabling protection systems to detect ground faults, control transient overvoltages, and stabilise voltage during unbalanced conditions. Without them, even minor faults could go undetected, leading to prolonged outages or costly equipment damage.
For this particular project, our transformers are being deployed as part of a wider network development aimed at improving capacity, reliability, and resilience across critical infrastructure in the Dublin region. Designed to meet site-specific operational requirements, the units are engineered for long-term durability, low maintenance, and excellent fault performance.
Each transformer has been fully manufactured and tested at our UK facility, ensuring compliance with the highest standards of safety and performance. T&R’s in-house team worked closely with the project stakeholders to tailor the solution around the system’s electrical characteristics and physical installation environment.
The successful delivery of these transformers underlines our continued support for infrastructure growth in Ireland and beyond. We take pride in working alongside utilities, consultants, and contractors to provide reliable, application-specific solutions that protect both assets and people.
We would like to thank our client for their continued trust and collaboration and extend our appreciation to the engineering and production teams at T&R who bring these projects to life through their expertise and commitment.
